General Rules for Taking Care of Your Backdrop

  1. Handle gently: Do not drop, bend, drag, or place heavy objects roughly on the surface.
  2. Lift, don’t drag: Always lift props and equipment when moving them.
  3. Keep it flat: Store your board flat or lay agaist a wall when storing.
  4. Use the Dust Cover: Keep your surface covered when not in use.
  5. Avoid heat & harsh sunlight: Do not expose your backdrop to prolonged direct sunlight, heat, or high temperatures.
  6. Clean gently: (After the first two weeks) use your Rataa Cleaning Kit or a soft, damp, lint-free cloth.
  7. No aggressive scrubbing: Avoid abrasive materials and harsh cleaning products.
  8. Clean spills quickly: Do not leave water, food, or liquids sitting on the surface.
  9. No cutting directly on the surface: Your backdrop is not a chopping board.

Rataa Backdrops Cleaning Kit

Every Rataa Order comes with a complimentary cleaning kit, unless otherwise mentioned in the product description. And includes three essentials:

Brush Gently brush away dust, food particles and debris that may settle into the textured surface. We recommend brushing your backdrop after every use.

Cleaning Spray The bottle contains a gentle solution of 1 part dish soap to 10 parts water. For small spills or stains, spray directly onto the area and leave for a few seconds.

Cleaning Cloth Gently wipe the sprayed area using the provided cloth. Avoid intensive scrubbing, as this may affect the surface texture.

Your backdrop is the backbone of your image. A little care will help keep it fresh, beautiful and ready to use for years to come.

Backdrops Dust Covers

Every Rataa Backdrop comes with a complimentary dust cover. As a newly added feature, dust covers are also available to purchase separately if you need an extra one.

  • Protective Cover Designed to keep your backdrop protected from dust, debris and everyday buildup when not in use.
  • Easy to Use Simply cover your backdrop after each use to keep it clean and ready for your next shoot.
  • Washable & Reusable The dust covers can be gently hand-washed and reused approximately 2–3 times.
