Hey friends, Im Dulani, founder of rataa backdrops.  Rataa was an idea born in my head during first quarantine in 2020. I got into Food photography just to keep myself busy during quarantine and I quickly fell in love with it. I was eager to find things that I could use to elevate my photos to a next level. In search of props for food photography I found out that there is nowhere to buy backdrops for food and product photography in Sri Lanka and I quickly realized the necessity of it. I started making my DIY backdrops for myself and it’s fair to say I enjoyed making backdrops more than taking food photos. 

Since I knew how important having backdrops to a photographer I decided to make few more designs and post on Instagram to see if anyone would be interested. I was hoping to continue this as a side hustle with my full time Speech and language Therapy carrier. However due to the tremendous love and support I received from you guys, I got lucky enough to make rataa my full time job and continue to provide best quality products for the past three years.
